SQL SERVER DBA - 1 Position

The Database Administrator is needed to manage SQL Server databases and various code environments. This position can be based in either the Eden Prairie or Woodbury locations.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
· Responsible for managing 200+ SQL Server databases;
· Maintaining database integrity for in-house and 3rd party
· Performing SQL Server Administration
· Database performance tuning for optimal performance
· Database recovery
· Security
· Maintaining and troubleshooting all scheduled jobs
· Capacity planning and space allocation/SAN/stand alone
· Space allocation
· Network connectivity
· DTS
· Software installation and configuration
· Patch upgrades
· Work with the Database Management Team to define, implement and follow processes.
· Help identify performances issues within the environments while working closely with members of other teams to optimize performance.
· Establish and implement data back-up and disaster recovery procedures.
· Work effectively on concurrent, multiple tasks and projects.

Preferred Requirements include:
· 6 months - 3 years DBA experience with database design and SQL Server 2000 Administration
· Bachelor’s degree in computer related field or equivalent w/1-2 years industry related experience
· Client/Server experience
· Powerbuilder experience a plus
· Strong analytical and critical thinking skills
· Results and detailed oriented and able to work in a fast paced environment
· Good communication skills to interact with users and management
