Eden Prairie/Woodbury MN-Project Manager

Long Term Care Group, Inc. (LTCG) is the largest long-term care administrator in the country. We provide services to some of the largest insurance companies in the nation. LTCG offers a complete platform of long-term care insurance services, such as underwriting, care management, commission payments and many more.

We are currently seeking an experienced, professional, Project Manager, who will provide Project Management, scope and requirements management, and execution for the IT development efforts. These positions work in both our Woodbury and Eden Prairie offices, and may travel between the Woodbury and Eden Prairie facilities depending upon the projects.

This position will develop and implement new client business and client-driven projects within the mutual agreed upon timeframe and specifications. The Project Manager works closely with internal operations areas and Information Systems to prioritize, develop, implement, and lead projects to a timely completion. Work with co-workers to establish department functions, processes and tools to enhance abilities to implement new clients and complete ongoing client projects.

Qualifications: Project management experience with proven success (minimum 5 years experience). Must have experience with the development of management plans, including change control, communications, risk management plans, quality and testing management plans. Must have experience with the development of Gantt charts; be able to review client artifacts to derive unambiguous and clear ISRs/requirements; and have experience with SOWs and are able to develop and acquire client sign off. Must have experience with communications planning, information distribution, performance reporting, administrative closure, and timely and informative project status reporting. Must have experience identifying, analyzing, responding, monitoring, and controlling project risk. Must be able to actively search for risks and mitigation strategies. Must have experience with the phases of the waterfall software development lifecycle. Bachelor's degree in a computer related field or equivalent experience required. Must have 5 + years of industry related experience and 5 + years of development and methodology/process experience, strong analysis skills, and use of Microsoft products including Microsoft Office and Microsoft Project. Prefer a PMP Certification, experience with MS Access, Visio or similar tools, and an Insurance industry background, Rational Unified Process (RUP) experience. Ability to travel as needed (1-10 trips per year at 2-3 days average per trip). Ability to work overtime as needed.
