Prepares manufacturing drawings by working directly from engineering drawings; studying engineering drawings, specifications, and supporting documents; developing a layout of the system, components, parts, and pre-order layouts as required.

Prepares manufacturing bill of materials from drawings, specifications, and related documents. Identifies and verifies specifications by examining engineering documents; performing basic calculations necessary to complete dimensions and tolerances. Modifies drawings by studying changes; redrawing system, components, and parts as needed. Maintains drawings schedule and works to meet the production schedule needs. Maintains historical records by filing project notes, specifications in the manufacturing database. Maintains database by archiving drawings after issue in central archive system.
