This position exists to plan, organize, direct, implement and evaluate skilled nursing, therapy, and Home Health Aide/Personal Care services to individuals in the county Home Care Program. Provides direct supervision to all professional staff working in the Home Care Program and indirect supervision to support staff. Assumes administrative responsibility for the Home Care Program in the absence of the Director. Manages RNs, LPNs, Home Health Aides, Personal Care Workers, Contract Therapists, Program Assistant, Medical Records Technician. Is responsible for the overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of these employees. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with Polk County's policies and applicable laws. These responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
