BUYER: Responsible for source selection and procurement functions directly associated with company needs for indirect materials and services, select production equipment and office supplies. Minimum of five years of experience preferably in plastics industry. Strong interpersonal and communication skills; a team player; and ability to develop a team atmosphere. Able to communicate with all levels of staff. Strong analytical and problem solving techniques. Knowledge and ability to negotiate best vendor terms, pricing and delivery. Thorough knowledge of purchasing policies, processes and procedures. Knowledge of warehouse and inventory control. Excellent computer skills to include MS Word, Excel and IQMS.
ELECTRONIC ENGINEER: Responsible for discussing proposals with suppliers & reviewing quotations. Work closely with SMC new product development team to design new products & devices. Ability to test theoretical designs, follow defined development processes while systematically improving detailed design of electronic equipment. Able to plan projects, prepare budgets, & write technical reports as required. Write specifications & qualification plans, create user friendly interfaces, ensure safety regulations are met, remain current & up to date with developments in technologies & regulations. Thorough knowledge of electrical & electronic engineering, digital signal processing, telecommunications, optoelectronics & other relevant disciplines. Strong analytical skills to follow logic of electronic circuits & interface with software. Attention to detail, good verbal, written & diagrammatic communication, team working attitude & advanced practical skills.
Project Engineer: Seeking experienced and entry level. Involved from project conception, equipment specifications, quotations, through full scope of project management until production. Experience with tooling and process development from conception to implementation. Interface with customers on design, CAD drawings, prototype tool development, engineering production tooling, procuring tooling, overseeing production run, and establishing quality parameters. CAD knowledge helpful. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Strong team player. Computer proficiency. BSME or equivalent. Plastics knowledge preferred.
MANUFACTURING ENGINEER: Provide technical support to production by analysis and implementation of optimal, cost-effective manufacturing processes and methods in accordance with product specification and quality standards. Recommend and implement improvements to production processes, methods, and controls. Manage projects from concept through manufacturing launch for new or revised projects. Must have experience in a production environment, Degree preferred.
QUALITY ENGINEER: Must be proficient in the use of MS Office programs. Strong written and verbal communication skills as well as attention to detail, organization and accuracy. Must have working knowledge of DOE’s, Product Validations (IQ, OQ and PQ experience), and statistical tools. Expert knowledge of blueprint reading and GD&T. Must have experience with dimensional metrology and past experience inspecting components using different types of measurement equipment. Experience with CMM programming preferred. Must possess problem solving tools related to root cause analysis and CAPA writing. Is able to establish and document critical component criteria and supporting process control information. College degree in Quality related field or 3 years minimum Quality Engineering experience required.
ROBOT/AUTOMATION TECHNICIAN: Responsible for PLC programming and set-up of 3-axis Fannuc and Adept robots. Will require troubleshooting and maintenance of custom assembly equipment, automated work cells and vision systems. Will be responsible for the automation of processes and systems. Mechanical, pneumatic and electrical skills is essential. Previous experience in an injection molding environment preferred but not required.
CNC PROGRAMMER: Minimum 2 year technical degree in one of the following: Program Tooling, Mechanical Design or other related fields. Minimum of five years of relevant hands on tooling experience CAD training. Excellent computer skills using programs such as IQMS. Ability to multi-task and prioritize work. Detail oriented. Strong written/verbal communication, analytical/troubleshooting skills.
MAINTENANCE MECHANIC: (12 hour Day Crew) Perform preventative maintenance duties, troubleshoot, and repair equipment in our modern facility. Will perform necessary calibrations to injection molding machines and auxiliary equipment. Mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic and electrical skills required as well as the ability to read blue prints. Must have good driving record and be a self starter. Plastics experience preferred.
Cycle Technician: Experience with injection molding machines to include establishing cycle times, tonnages, temperatures, knowledge of engineering grade resins and production troubleshooting.
