Project/Process Engineering Manager - Hudson, WI


The Project/Process Engineering Manager will supervise and manage the activities of the Engineering Department, including but not limited to, all planning, NC programming, CAD, tool and fixture design, and the estimating functions for new processes.

Motivate staff to effective results, mentor junior employees, and provide technical vision and guidance to all engineering personnel
Primary focus is on PMA and manufacturing processes
Responsible for studying new opportunities for market sales potential, as supplied by Sales & Marketing, barriers to entry, solutions to those barriers, as well as any special skill or capital requirements.
Create Cost-Benefit Analysis to summarize
Present selected worthy new opportunities to senior management
Devote 25% of time to dealing with current business and 75% to the development of new business opportunities

BS Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering Technology or similar
10 or more years in an Aviation Engineering role
5 or more years of experience reverse engineering and PMA-ing parts
5 or more years of experience in managing others
Familiar with aerospace industry—quality standards, design practices, common manufacturing processes

Experience in:
CAD systems (AutoCAD a plus) and 3D Modeling
Thermoforming, tool and mold making
Sheet metal and tube forming & fabrication processes
Metallurgy, laser cutting, TIG welding, heat treating, NC machining & bending
Embraces, understands, can explain and implement lean principles
Comprehension of ASME Y14.5 geometric dimensioning and tolerance
Project leadership experience
Working level knowledge of MS Office: Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint
